Japanese Animator, Designer, and Illustrator
Originally from Yamaguchi Prefecture, I joined MADHOUSE Inc. in 2007. I am currently working as a freelance artist.
My major works in character design include the animated films BAYONETTA: Bloody Fate and GARO: Divine Flame - Usuzumi Sakura.
For television series, I have worked on titles such as X-MEN and Space Battleship Tiramisu.
I also served as chief animation director for various episodes of the TV anime Terra Formars and created ending sequences and promotional illustrations for The Heroic Legend of Arslan.
In addition, I have illustrated CD covers for artists such as Eir Aoi (Lapis Lazuli, Tsubasa) and Kalafina (One Light, blaze), as well as various soundtracks.
For Attack on Titan, I participated as animation director for Season 2 and contributed official illustrations.
In the Initial D franchise, I served as co-animation director for the new movie trilogy and also worked as chief animation director and character designer for the Initial D pachinko and pachislot projects.
I have also created watercolor illustrations for limited edition packaging of Ogino-ya Toge no Kamameshi (a well-known bento).
Additionally, I was responsible for illustrations for the Initial D x Shibukawa City anime tourism posters, as well as seven color-designed manhole covers featured in that collaboration.
I excel at realistic styles, graphic novels, action/battle themes, muscular characters, American comic styles, and works with a masculine atmosphere.
I also have strengths in aesthetic, erotic-grotesque, and violent themes.
Although I often end up drawing cars, I am not specialized in mechanical designs.
